NAZI GOLD AND TREASURE IN NORTH AMERICA

What if I told you that there’s a lot more to wars than, well, fighting wars. History shows that they are not only won with manpower and an armory but many wars have been won by tearing down a country and breaking the people.  This can be done by psychological warfare and breaking the country’s financial stronghold. Adolf Hitler had a plan to break America and his gold was going to win his war. He had plans to make sure that the United States was not going to enter World War II.

WARS ARE EXPENSIVE AND HITLER HAD A PLAN

NAZI GOLD AND TREASURE IN NORTH AMERICA CHAPTER 1

Wars are costly

In our world’s history of war, many countries and cultures went into huge debt to fight wars. It is not uncommon for countries in modern times to do the same thing. The thing is, money wins battles and wars. If you don’t have the money, you have a high chance of losing the battle.

Adolf Hitler knew this all too well, and he wanted to stop any powerful country from entering World War II, especially the United States. The U.S has a grand military full of men, ships, guns, tanks, missiles, and more.  Hitler feared that if the United States were to enter the war, he would lose, and his agenda would be lost.

How do you break and tear down the most powerful country in the world? You start with intel from people on the inside. Hitler had many spies. In fact, some of you may remember when you first heard the word, communist. I remember hearing my dad talk about it and it was something that came up often. I have found many reports on people that United States Citizens helped Hitler with information and many other types of unknowns.

That’s what this story is about! Hitler had people working with him on the inside to break the United States of America. Of course, the other side to this story is, where’s the treasure

GOLD CURRENCY AND ITS STRENGTH FOR POWER

NAZI GOLD AND TREASURE IN NORTH AMERICA CHAPTER 2

Hitler's plan to crash the gold market

We’ve all heard of Fort Knox, the world’s stronghold for currency around the world. Gold is very valuable, but if there’s a short supply of it, the market skyrockets. If there’s too much that comes in at one time, the market will crash, and gold isn’t worth very much. This could break the market if too much is released into the market.

Hilter had a lot of money and gold. He had so much of it, he wanted to use it, whether he lost it or not, to ensure that the market would crash. To him, this would be a victory and he could go around the world to conquer. If the gold market crashed, it would hurt all countries and the chance for allies and means for entering the war would be lost.

LOYAL AMERICAN CITIZENS IN THE UNITED STATES

NAZI GOLD AND TREASURE IN NORTH AMERICA CHAPTER 3

Hitler needed help and he knew that America was keeping its eye out for forthcoming trouble. At this time in the war, the United States was trying to stay out of it. The United States had a great system of Homeland Security and other departments of intelligence. Hitler knew he wouldn’t be able to just come to North America, stop at a gold store, and sell his millions of dollars worth of gold. This couldn’t happen back then, and it couldn’t happen today, without investigations and much more.

Hitler found loyalists that lived in the United States that would help him transport gold to this land and store it in what some think are various hidden places throughout the USA. His plan was to transfer amounts of gold to secret locations within the United States. One day, he feared, things would change for him and the gold would be lost, in this case it would stay hidden until he executed his plan.

Many think this didn’t happen due to America entering the war and Hitler being terminated. Where is this hidden gold today?

TREASURE HUNTERS SEARCH FOR HITLERS GOLD IN AMERICA

NAZI GOLD AND TREASURE IN NORTH AMERICA CHAPTER 4

Some modern day treasure hunters, historians, and researchers believe that Hitler’s gold is still in the United States. With communist and loyalists captured and arrested, a search could begin for a possible treasure hunt of millions of dollars in gold. There have been many theories, and they all seem to point to the resting place probably being in the western states. New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, and Colorado are considered to be the most probable places to look, but if you look where the evidence takes you, the Four Corners area seems to be the more probable place to search.

Some hunters have reported finding symbols that seem to be Masonic, and are linked to the Freemasons. In fact, many researchers believe that at least one of the loyalists was a Freemason. That complicates the search if that was true. The Freemasons were very secretive and their symbols are hard to decipher.

DID A FREEMASON HELP HILTER HIDE HIS GOLD IN AMERICA?

NAZI GOLD AND TREASURE IN NORTH AMERICA CHAPTER 5

Freemason symbols tied to Nazi gold & treasure in North America

For some of you, this may seem strange but to others, there is evidence. In 2014, a producer contacted me and asked if I would be interested in doing a TV show about hunting for Hilter’s gold in the United States. This at first, seemed like it was far out in the left field, but after using the producers‘ resources and cooperation with one of the largest networks on television, we learned that Hitler may have been more involved and even had plans in the United States.

Within a couple of weeks, we found that many other hunters had tried to unlock the secret location of Hitler’s treasure. We also learned that Hitler started to build a mansion in the United States… I know, how could this happen? Hitler’s mansion didn’t get too far in construction but a massive concrete foundation can be found in the northeastern part of the United States. As we checked into this insight, it did appear that Hilter paid an American to put the construction in someone else’s name. Even though we can’t prove it at this point, many people have sided with this story, and as I’ve always said, there’s a little truth to most stories.

While conducting more research, the Feemasons came up a lot. We don’t believe that the Freemason’s organization was or wasn’t involved but it does appear that at least one freemason was. This part of the story turned into something that I wasn’t expecting.

We next learned of the Lue Map and Hitler’s gold connection.

THE LUE MAP. IS IT CONNECTED WITH HITLER’S GOLD TREASURE?

NAZI GOLD AND TREASURE IN NORTH AMERICA CHAPTER 6

The Lue Map and Nazi Gold in America

THE LUE MAP AND THE NAZI CONNECTION

The map you are looking at is one of the most famous maps in treasure history. The Lue Map seems to be of Nazi Origin. The map was created by an unnamed Nazi loyalist in the United States, whose property was used as a cache site for 100 tons of Gold Bullion that was smuggled into the US by Nazi Agents. The purpose of the Nazi mission was to sell the gold on the US Market and to crash the United States’s economy which would stop the United States from entering World War II. Around this same time, the United States passed the American Gold Act which prevented the Nazis from selling the gold on the open market. Someone in the U.S. Intelligence had learned about the Nazi plot.

The Nazis then moved in to try and recover the gold, with the hopes of smuggling it back out of the United  States, before they could be stopped. But, the Nazi loyalist, whose property they had buried the Gold on, had mysteriously died, taking the secret of the Lue Map with him. The Nazis were not able to crack the map on their own, and they dug all over the loyalist’s property for the gold, but could not find the cache. Their search was called off by Hitler and they returned to Germany. The gold is still in the ground to this day

The map got into the hands of the public through the FBI, who had also been alerted by the CIA about the Nazi plot. Their code breakers were unable to solve the mystery,  and they let it leak into the general public hoping that someone could solve the riddle. The map was made popular by Treasure Hunter Karl Von Mueller who published it back in the 1960s.

It has been suggested that the code for the Lue  Map that the Nazi loyalist used when he created the Lue Map was based on templar secrets. The Nazis may have discovered such secrets during their excavations near Renne le chateau, a Knight’s Templar stronghold.

The Nazis were said to have access to a coding system that was created by the Knights Templar and that they shared the code with the Japanese to help them hide their own caches of gold deep in the jungles of the Philippines.

A study of the Lue Map will reveal coordinates of the search area for the Nazi Gold Cache site. How one finds the coordinates within the symbols of the map is a mystery. The search area is six miles long, but three miles within this area, there will be found a large landmass where a pyramid will be outlined by Monuments. The Lue Map itself, when the code is broken, does not tell you where to search within the Pyramid area. To learn that, you need the key to the LueMap, which is said to be the American Dollar Bill. Which is loaded full of occult symbolism.

The symbols on the dollar are Masonic in origin and, of course, have a connection to the knight’s templar. The masons received much of their occult knowledge from the templar and it would have included their coding system as well. So, if you take the American dollar bill and study it, you will find a key two inches to the right of George Washington’s nose. This key in combination with the map reveals the gold’s location. The gold is buried under the left leg of the Pyramid Layout. How the two work together to reveal this is a mystery. The location of the Lue Cache is said to be the Four Corners area of the South Western United States.

The Lue Treasure document regarding Lue sites in Colorado and New Mexico

This is one of the most valuable historical documents for anyone who is interested in the Lue Map and the mystery behind it. It tells the locations of two Lue treasure sites, one in Colorado and one in New Mexico. The one in Colorado was an obsession of the famous treasure hunter Karl Von Mueller who was the first to release the Lue map to the public. This document is specific in areas and in the symbols that have been found in the area that match with the famous Lue Map. A great document for the Lue seeker.

THE LUE TREASURE MAP

The Lue treasure map is something that gives treasure hunters many sleepless nights. But you won’t find any streets, lakes, or highways on this map. This map includes obscure images and geometric shapes that criss-cross each other or sit beside each other. The map also has a large sweeping curved line from the bottom left-hand corner to the top right-hand corner. The reason why the Lue treasure map has given hunters so much grief is that it tells of a place where massive amounts of gold are buried. While that undoubtedly should leave some happy treasure hunters, the problem is that no one has been able to decode the Lue treasure map – even though it’s more than fifty years old!

The Lue treasure map was created by the Nazis but it was a Nazi follower that actually lived in the United States that created it.  it was at the follower’s home that the Nazis had buried over 100 tons of gold which they had smuggled into the States. They did this so that they could sell the gold on the US market and crash the US economy, preventing the United States from entering World War II. However, someone in the United States government got wind of the Nazis’ plan and passed the American Gold Act, which prohibited any gold from being sold on the open market.

NAZI GOLD IN AMERICA: FACT OR FICTION?

NAZI GOLD AND TREASURE IN NORTH AMERICA CHAPTER 7

World War II - Hitler's Gold

The Lue Map creates an interesting part of this story as well. But how is the Lue Map and Hitler connected? What is the Lue Map?

After the United States conducted their investigations of Americans that helped Hitler throughout the war, they stumbled across an unknown man but it has been confirmed that he was a Nazi supporter and that he brought in 100 tons of gold bars to America for Hitler.

Many hieroglyphs have been found in New Mexico near his home, according to treasure hunters from the area. They believe that if the Lue Map and the hieroglyphs could be deciphered then the gold bars could be found. Many people believe the search points to the area of the four corners.

The Lue Map has very strange symbols. You can see the pyramid, an eye, the pillar, stairs, the sun, and more. I do have to agree that these symbols do seem to be masonic. The Freemasons have used many of these symbols in their temples. But what do they mean?

I wish I could tell you. At this point, I have followed many others’ accounts of their findings. Some believe if you turn it upside down, it could lead you to the treasure. Some have mentioned that if you fold the map correctly, the symbols will transform into different shapes. Some also believe that the map will point the way if you follow those hieroglyphs.

One thing I do know is that every treasure story starts with a puzzle and the puzzle can point to many theories. If it was me hunting for Nazi Gold, I would try to use all the accounts and resources that can be found!  I would try to uncover who this mystery loyalist was, where he lived, track down Hilter’s mansion foundation, and talk to everyone that claims they have evidence of this story.

These hieroglyphs could be a great clue as well. From my experience, it’s a good idea to research all angles and go where the clues are taking you. It might be you who will find the lost Nazi gold, or maybe, you might find something else.

One more thing, I found many many people that have done a lot of the research on this story. That’s your “X” marks that spot for sure. That’s where you start your hunt!

THE TAYOS CAVE AND THE METAL LIBRARY

There are mysteries and legends everywhere in the world. Neil Armstrong and many others tried to uncover this legend of giants, treasures, and a library of metal books so big, that one man can not lift one. Are the secrets of the legends still guarded by native cultures? Many have tried to unearth the truth and no have succeeded.

DID ANCIENT GIANTS EXIST IN AMERICA?

THE TAYOS CAVE AND THE METAL LIBRARY – Chapter 1

THE TAYOS CAVES AND THE METAL LIBRARY

There have been many discoveries throughout the world where large skeletons, skulls, and other human bones have been found. Evidence is all over historical documents and there are documented discoveries that are hard to ignore. In fact, there have been discoveries and news reports that talk about large bones found in the western states of America, even recently. These specialists stated that the discoveries must have been from ancient civilizations that lived in the area. They were not just ancient people, but giants.

If you haven’t heard of these discoveries, you may want to learn of these giants to better understand this story.  I find it interesting to learn of the possibility that giants once lived on earth and as you learn about giants of the past, you will better understand this story.

MODERN DAY TRIBES THAT STILL LIVE IN THE OLD WAYS

THE TAYOS CAVE AND THE METAL LIBRARY – Chapter 2

Tribes living in the old ways in the Amazon

There are many accounts of modern day tribes that still live the way that people lived in Central America many hundreds of years ago. These tribes are so deep in the Amazon that some of them have no idea that modern day cities, technology, and modern day luxury even exist. Remember this part of this article because later, it will help you understand why this legend could still be secretive and hidden. To add to that, this library was a metal library and could still be protected by a tribe that thinks of this site as sacred.

Could that be true? Could there be modern day natives protecting this sacred area from all outsiders that dare to venture into the Amazon?

FATHER CRESPI’S COLLECTION AND MUSEUM OF ANCIENT ARTIFACTS

THE TAYOS CAVE AND THE METAL LIBRARY – Chapter 3

Father Crespi Artifacts from the Unknown

Father Crespi plays a big part in this story because the local tribes’ people liked him and gave him artifacts as gifts. They gave him so many artifacts throughout his 60 years of being a missionary in Ecuador that he displayed them and opened a local museum for all to see.

What was so special about these artifacts and where did they come from?

I was astonished at the size of most of the artifacts he had. There were oversized tablets, jewelry, plates, doors, decorations, statues, pottery and so much more. There’s a lot more to this story than just the size of the artifacts, as you will see. Some of the artifacts show pyramids similar to the pyramids found in Egypt. Some also show possible god-like figures made of gold and silver, along with other materials and he had many artifacts that may suggest, to those of us studying these old artifacts, that it seems to be almost a mix of cultures or an ancient people that history does not talk about.

“Rare!”  Those words are from professionals that control the diagnosis of archeology and anthropology,  but to professionals that study lost history, this is not a rare and misunderstood coincidence. Many of us researchers have seen civilizations inherit written language, food, building methods and more.

Many of these artifacts suggest that they are Babylonian or Egyptian. Some disagree and call them something else. The odd thing that still puzzles people today is the similarities of possible alien activity. Could this area of Ecuador have a hidden history?

Many professionals came to visit Father Crespi and to view his museum. Organizations like Universities, church officials, professors, archeologists, anthropologists, and many more came. Many of them had theories and they were all trying to determine where the artifacts came from. For Father Crepsi, these were gifts from the local people that he loved so much. He spent most of his life with the local people and they treated him in their old ways, showing him with metal gifts.

In the 1960s, a fire broke out and destroyed his museum. This is not like other treasure stories that end, but it is intriguing to follow the mystery of where are the lost artifacts? He was able to save most of his artifacts and for the next 15 or so years he stored them in rooms and the hallway of his living quarters. He kept all his artifacts safe until he died in 1982. The village people were very broken hearted that he died and they left his things the way he did. This would be the undoing for further investigations.

Soon after Fathers Crespi’s death, artifacts were robbed from his home. These artifacts didn’t show up in museums, they just disappeared. Many theories have been passed on in the last 30 plus years, but one thing for sure, the artifacts seem to be gone forever..

CAVE OF TREASURES, GOLD, AND KNOWLEDGE WAS DISCOVERED

THE TAYOS CAVE AND THE METAL LIBRARY – Chapter 4

Juan Moricz Discovery of the Tayos Cave Ecuador

In the mid 1960s a prospector named Juan Moricz was trekking into the dangerous jungle of the Andes Mountains and made a discovery that caught the world’s attention. He found an entrance to a massive cave. Intreated by its wonders, he followed it further and further. The words he used were “An endless cave” to describe what he explored.

After some length of time, he found a section of the cave that had man-made structures, carved into the walls. He also described what he saw.  The architecture was perfectly made on the walls and ceilings. While admiring this section of the cave he found the motherload. It was a collection of gold and silver tablets, panels, books, and more. He believed that this was a priceless treasure, or some will say a library made of gold, with all the knowledge of the past. He mentioned that the symbols on these artifacts and books had pictures and symbols of pyramids and more.

Do the artifacts sound familiar? This “Metal Library” sounds a lot like the artifacts that Father Crepsi had in his collection. But how? Father Crepsi had his collection around the same time that Juan found the cave.

The people that now know both stories, believed that Juan found the cave that the local tribe was guarding, and offered gifts to their friend, Father Crepsi.

NEIL ARMSTRONG – THE FAMOUS ASTRONAUT TURNED TREASURE HUNTER

THE TAYOS CAVE AND THE METAL LIBRARY – Chapter 5

Neil Armstrong Treasure Hunting in the Tayos Cave of Ecuador

Neil Armstrong the astronaut and treasure hunting? That’s correct. Neil heard about Father’s Crespi‘s collection and he traveled down to see them. It wasn’t long until people came to the realization that points to one fact; these artifacts must have come from a nearby area, and the local tribes know of their whereabouts.

People started to research and even though the village people were closed-mouthed of the location of more artifacts and where they came from, people learned of a great mystery. The local tribespeople knew of an ancient site that they deemed spiritual and secret. People started to learn that these modern day village people knew of a great underground city that they have been protecting for hundreds, maybe thousands of years.

After further inquiring, people learned that the local people were not as friendly about this story and inquiries as they thought. These village people gave the gifts to Father Crepsi out of love and respect but these local tribes didn’t want outsiders to learn about the ancient site.

Neil Armstrong and his large group of professionals and military men did learn that there was a massive cave system not far away.

Could this be the site where Father Crepsi’s artifacts came from?

After a large man-scaled hunt, Neil Armstrong’s group did in fact find a cave system. In this cave system, they did find man-made structures, carved tunnels, rooms, and more. It was an exciting find. Newspapers and magazines wrote about the discoveries and the world thought that the collection of artifacts from this lost civilization would be found. The hunt wasn’t unsuccessful but Neil and his group didn’t find the lost treasure that they were hoping to find.

THE MASSIVE CAVE SYSTEM OF CUEVA DE LOS TAYOS

THE TAYOS CAVE AND THE METAL LIBRARY – Chapter 6

Tayos Cave Map Ecuador

The cave system is large but many think that the cave has been explored fairly well in the last decade. Some believe that the cave is much larger than many have explored. Many reports have talked about the cave going for miles and miles vs what people are saying is only 2.5 miles long. If this is true then perhaps many explorers including Neil Armstrong, did find the correct cave system but didn’t find the right passageway to the artifacts.

Many massive cave systems that have been explored in modern time with technology and mapping software, do have chambers, tunnels, and different entrances. In fact, some caves are so big, people make the mistake of thinking they are several different caves with one entrance when it’s actually, one massive cave with several entrances.

Could that be the case with Tayo’s Cave?

MODERN DAY SEARCH AND TREASURE HUNTING

THE TAYOS CAVE AND THE METAL LIBRARY – Chapter 7

Modern Discoveries made in the Tayos Cave of Ecuador

In 2016 I became more involved with this story. I was reviewing my old files and found several notes I had made about the Tayos cave. For several days I went to work telling people about the story and that’s when I found that I needed to be really involved with a podcast. This podcast show had one episode recording called “The Metal Library Secret Entrance found.”

I thought to myself, secret entrance? I know that many people had gone looking for the Metal Library and had come back empty handed. I’ve heard of reports claiming that the cave has been found but there are no artifacts to be seen.

On this podcast was a man that claimed he lived in the area of the Tayos cave and that his family found the entrance that leads you to the room full of metal books, tablets, and more. He also claimed that people have been using the wrong entrance. The main entrance that everyone uses today, leads to what feels like a dead end. He claimed that he spent many years exploring the area for main entrances to the cave and after finding a few, the right one was finally discovered.

As I was listening to the podcast recording, I was thinking, why is he going public with this story? What doesn’t he get it out without causing attention? After a few more minutes, he said, “I am a poor man. I know nothing about recovering treasures or where to sell them. I need help. If anyone has knowledge of treasure hunting and has the right connections, please get a hold of me. Now it makes sense to me. It’s not the first time I have heard this from many people that don’t know the ins and outs of treasure hunting.

In fact, most people usually get scared, nervous, and excited all at the same time and leave the site without taking notes of where they had just came from. Lost treasures stay lost because of this natural human error.

After hearing this podcast, I contacted some of my connections and they told me a phone number that led to another phone number in Ecuador.  According to what I learned, it seemed that this man was talking with people within my circle and they had heard about his discovery too.

After a couple of months prepping and contemplating on my next move, I learned that the podcast had been taken down shortly after I had heard it and I was never able to get the man’s information or name. Could this have been another tall tale? Or was there truth to his story?

THE RISK OF VENTURING INTO THIS AREA TO LOOK FOR THE METAL LIBRARY

THE TAYOS CAVE AND THE METAL LIBRARY – Chapter 8

I haven’t given up on this story. I’m just doing extensive research and preparations to decide my next move. I will say this, it appears that even the locals fear the tribe that is protecting the correct entrance to the metal library. I have had many reports of people telling me that some have gone to look for the treasure cave and some have not made it back.

Apparently, many people that live in the area do not dare to look for the cave. I have been warned by American professionals that have worked the case and I have been warned by people in Ecuador not to go looking for it.

It does appear to me that there is more to this story than we think. A simple Google search for Cueva de los Tayos takes you to a cave entrance and what appears to be a cave tour that tourists can go on, if you have deep pockets. In my opinion, this cave, which can be found online, must be the one that Neil Armstrong explored. It does have man made structures inside but it has a big descent at the beginning of the entrance.

Jaun, the prospector from the 60s, nor any others have mentioned that advanced climbing gear is needed to find the Metal Library. I feel that the wrong entrance has been used for many years now and that the correct entrance is still waiting to be discovered. It seems to be the same massive cave system, just the wrong doorway to the secret mysteries of the Metal Library.

If that’s not the answer, where did Father Crespi‘s artifacts come from?

THE ANCIENT CITY OF THE MONKEY GOD

The Lost City of the Monkey God Discovered

THIS CITY IS ALSO KNOWN AS THE WHITE CITY OF HONDURAS

THE ANCIENT CITY OF THE MONKEY GOD – Chapter 1

For hundreds of years, explorers have tried to locate the ancient lost city of the Monkey God. In the last few years, researchers and professionals have not only discovered its location, but they also traveled into the Amazon to uncover its secrets. You might think this story has ended, but it has only begun. The professionals and filming crew had abandoned the ruins due to a curse. The city is still very much unexplored. This is a true story about the history and discovery of the Ancient City of the Monkey God. Because of modern day discoveries, the city has been renamed “The City of the Jaguar.”

Discoveries of ancient ruins in Central America

HISTORY OF THE LOST CITY OF THE MONKEY GOD

THE ANCIENT CITY OF THE MONKEY GOD – Chapter 2

La Ciudad Blanca is another name for the Lost City of the Monkey God. Spanish explorers named it that due to the legends of the city built of whites stones. Spanish conquistador Hernan Cortez reported that he believed the stories were trustworthy from towns and people of the villages in the area. As we know, Cortez did not find the White City (La Ciudad Blanca), and his efforts ended in failure.

Side note: Cortez heard that a rich gold mine was somewhere in the area of the White City. It is suggested that the builders of the city also mined the gold. Cortez called the mine El Dorado. There is no claim that Cortez found the lost gold mine.

Since Cortez, nothing of the city was mentioned again, until 1920 when reports started coming in of a white city discovery deep in the jungle.

A local came forward claiming he found it 25 years before that after becoming lost looking for rubber deposits in the forest. He claimed that he noticed white stone walls and structures.

In 1939 someone claimed to have found the White City of the Monkey God,  but he did not tell of its location so many people discarded his claim.

Again in the 1950s, a small group set out to find the famous White city but they were unsuccessful. It wasn’t until the 1990s when an author and Archaeologist not only wrote a book about the lost city, but it was when modern day technology like LiDar was later put to use to locate the ruins in the 2000s. That is when the City of the Monkey God really started to take its place in modern day history. During this decade, it has also been renamed the Lost City of the Jaguar. This site has more names than I can remember. That also tells me that it is in its early state of being understood and discovered.

It never fails. Every time I research a new location or legend, I find reports of Spanish Conquistadors trying to find it hundreds of years before I get to it. I know the behavior of the Spanish and I know of their intent in the earlier days. They wanted to plunder and conquer any significant city they could get their hands on.

I take this as an opportunity. The Spanish spent a lot of manpower and force to find important treasures and sites. If the Spanish were onto this lost city, there must have been some extraordinary stories about it.

WHO BUILT THE WHITE CITY OF THE MONKEY GOD?

THE ANCIENT CITY OF THE MONKEY GOD – Chapter 3

This question and answer could be one of the greatest mysteries of this story. No one knows. At this point in time, it was built by known civilizations. This seems like a great starting point. If we do not know this part of the story, it leaves tons and questions unanswered.

  • When was the city built?
  • Who built it?
  • Where did they come from?
  • Why was the city abandoned?
  • What happened to the people who left it?

I wish I had the answers or even a direction to give you, as the reader, but I don’t. I think if someone was to really bite down and work on this part of the story, many answers would follow. If we only knew who the people were before they built the great city or where they went after, that would be a good starting point but I can’t find that information either.

The story is getting more and more intriguing. Many times I try to find a lost city, treasure, mine, and more from the information that was left behind. In this case, the city was found, without that information, prior to discovering its location.

That leaves me to think there’s only one thing that could be done to find more data, uncover the city, and conduct a full archaeology and anthropology investigation. If we know where the city is located then that would be the next step. With modern day technology, I could only imagine what can be found with metal detectors, GPR systems, and excavating the area.

THE CURSE OF THE LOST CITY OF THE MONKEY GOD

THE ANCIENT CITY OF THE MONKEY GOD – Chapter 4

For hundreds of years, locals have stayed out of this section of the jungle due to the urban legends of curses, deaths, and disappearances from people who have ventured into the area looking for the city. Urban legends also speak of disturbing the city and even taking objects out of the city. Out of fear, this city has laid to rest their interest and the jungle claims more and more of its secrets, structures, and artifacts. The acknowledgment of if the curse was true or false was unproven until the expedition of 2017 by producers, camera crews, archaeologists, anthropologists, and more.

LiDar Reveals a hidden city in the vegetation

THE LOST CITY OF THE MONKEY IS NO LONGER LOST

THE ANCIENT CITY OF THE MONKEY GOD – Chapter 5

National Geographic published an article in March of 2015 telling a story of the discoveries and the team that ventures into the Honduran rain forest. Another interesting event happened in 2017 when a producer announced that the documentary called “The Lost City of the Monkey God” would be released in 2018. The documentary shows and tells of the team’s expedition into the jungle and what they found.

Not only did the documentary show that the legends are true about a lost city in the jungle, they think that there’s much more to be found.

The team did report that they found several artifacts lying on the surface but the most interesting subject was, what was in the ground? The team went on to explain that the jungle has reclaimed almost all the structures.

Lost City of the Monkey God or Jaguar City Honduras

I, personally, have seen this in the Yucatan, near Chichen Itza. You can see that man-made structures curve the earth in an unnatural way. Dome shaped hills form when structures have been buried by natural causes after hundreds and thousands of years. We don’t know what is under the ground, but it could possibly be one of the biggest discoveries of our time.

As the team of specialists made base camp and started their refined search, more objects, artifacts, and clues to the city were starting to be uncovered. The same archeological method was used as it has been done on many other sites. The specialists started to determine that their findings were somewhat the same as Mesoamerica sites found in Central America. Some of the figures they started to find seemed to be wearing helmets. The helmets are what really caught my attention. The mighty Incas, Aztecs, Mayans, and Toltecs did not have armor made of metal. The question of “Who was this civilization” is a very important one. The estimated date of the objects were placed at 1000 – 1400 A.D. The lack of time the officials had at this site due to illnesses makes me wonder if that date is correct. Could this site be older than they think? The cultures from around that time period do not talk about Monkey Gods and men with helmets. I think the site needs a lot more research and studies done to uncover the secrets and mysteries of these ancient people. The site could be holding onto an untold history that can help us better understand the cultures of Central America.

Most of these objects were uncovered in a way that they could leave the site but the objects would still be preserved in their natural habitat.

The Lost City of the Jaguar (White City)

INFORMATION OF THE CITY OF THE MONKEY STARTS TO WITHER AWAY

THE ANCIENT CITY OF THE MONKEY GOD – Chapter 6

National Geographic had no more to say in its article than the information in this article. Reports of the expedition going bad started coming from other reports. The documentary that was filmed in 2017 is hard to find on the internet and I am still today looking for a way to view it. But that didn’t stop others from reporting that many of the team members at the site started to get sick and the team and its filming crew left the site.

Reports of a sickness that some call “flesh eating disease” started flooding in. Two members of the team almost lost their lives in the hospital while everyone else was experiencing the same flesh eating wounds on their bodies. At first, all the team members had hundreds of bug bites on the face, arms, and legs but that was only the beginning of this disease. Even a month after returning to their homes, the wounds started getting bigger and bigger and even opening up the skin.

All the team members had to seek medical help and treatment for a long period of time to stop the disease from imminent death. Since this situation, the site has been abandoned and the study has come to a halt. A discovery so grand cannot go on due to this sickness and fear. Where does that leave the White City investigation? Nowhere at this point.

It’s only been 4 years since the team abandoned the city and no new information has been released. Another great story and discovery has gone cold. What happens now? Because professionals and expeditions like this are usually controlled and funded by big organizations, safety measures must be taken. I don’t know if any big outfit will ever venture into this area again.

Many people believe that the curse is true and that the curse (the sickness) is what drove the original people who built the city from the area. If this is true, there’s a good chance that the sickness has been around for hundreds to thousands of years.

COMMENTS FROM THE AUTHOR | TIMOTHY DRAPER – HISTORICAL TREASURE HUNTER

THE ANCIENT CITY OF THE MONKEY GOD – Chapter 7

I have been studying and following this legend since 2014. This was the time that discoveries were becoming public because of the use of LiDar. Structures and a massive city were found by using LiDar and modern day software. I have been hunting and researching lost cities for over 23 years now and it’s been hard to sit back and patiently wait, knowing the location of the Lost City of the Monkey God.

Sickness or no sickness, there’s a buried city that could not only be withholding treasures but also a historical significance that could paint a great picture of the lost history. There hasn’t been a month that has gone by that I haven’t thought about this story. How could I get my team in the area and back out again without putting my team’s lives in jeopardy? That is the million dollar question that I’ve been trying to figure out.

There are more cities than the City of the Monkey God in this area of Honduras. There have been many reports of many lost cities around the City of the Monkey God. LiDar revealed that many cities are spread throughout the area and many suggest that these unknown people lived similar to the Mayan people and how modern day cities are built; A main capital city is surrounded by suburbs, smaller towns, and villages. The Maya people lived the same way. It’s a significant way to design and bring order to a large population of people.

Top Secrets Information about the City of the Monkey God

I have more confidential information that shows that an organization located many cities around the perimeter of the City of the Monkey God. There were enough cities and structures found that they were named “Target 1”, “Target 2”, “Target 3”, and so on. I believe there were as many as 14 targets located in total in the vicinity.

If you are someone who is interested in discovering these lost ruins, please reach out to me. My team is ready to go and my contacts and resources are vast. The cost for a voyage like this would be high to start the search correctly. I could take my team and start looking without much financing but in order to scan the area with LiDar, bring in a team of specialists, and ensure that the people are protected and safe while successful discoveries are made is necessary.

If you have any information or even finances that can help my research and bring possibilities so I can take my team into the jungle with safety, I am all ears. Please contact me using the form below.

TREASURES OF THE UINTA MOUNTAINS UTAH

I have never studied a state in North America with more folklore and legends that have been passed down for generations. In Utah, one could find evidence of Ancient civilizations, Spanish treasures and mines, Aztec treasures, strange phenomena, and so much more. If you have the passion and heart to explore for riches and lost history, this is the article for you.

Utah Legends of the Unita Mountains & More

UTAH STATE – BEAUTIFUL AND MYSTERIOUS

Utah is a very beautiful place to visit with so much to offer for tourists. This state has millions of visitors per year and there’s a reason why. National parks, state parks, camping, hiking, and other outdoor activities have played a rich role in Utah’s history. Not to mention the winter sports like skiing and more. For Utah locals, there’s more to the state of Utah than it’s beauty, it is full of interesting history linked to the Mormon church, ancient native cultures, and even curses and deaths.

The Spanish first traveled to Utah in the 1600s and it was no coincidence. It’s because of what they were told that they could find. It was the whispers of ancient civilizations, gold, and treasures hiding in the Uinta Mountains. This was not the beginning of Utah’s history of riches but it’s definitely the first recorded history to prove that Utah had many riches waiting to be found.

SPANISH EXPLORATIONS AND MINING OPERATIONS

TREASURES OF THE UINTA MOUNTAINS UTAH – Chapter 1

The Spanish entered the Utah territory in the 1600s searching for riches. From my research, there’s a good chance that the Spanish heard stories of rich gold veins and silver in Utah territory. Some of my colleagues and myself believe that Utah has played a big role in Ancient civilizations that have not been placed in history books due to the lack of data. But evidence of many years out in the field suggests that Utah may have been home to several powerful and thriving cultures thousands of years ago.

The Spanish did indeed find rich silver and gold veins and started mining production all over Utah but the strange thing is, they found out that they were not the first ones to do so. Old Spanish documents and waybills tell of ancient gold and silver mines that were extremely rich and were found in the Uinta Mountains while exploring for new promising mining ventures. Who dug these ancient mines before the Spanish? Utah has many theories on the matter. We’ll get into that a little later in this article. One of these mines is believed to be one of the richest mines that the Spanish have ever worked in their history, the Lost Josephine Mine. The Spanish went on to what they would claim at that time, a massive successful mining process when it came to unearthing precious metals out of the ground.

Some reports say that the Spanish at one time had over 3 thousand conquistadors in the high mountains of Kamas Utah, along with over 5 thousand Indian slaves working their string of mines in the Western Uinta Mountains. There are other claims that in the canyons and high Mountains of Vernal Utah, the Spanish had several thousand conquistadors and several thousands of Indian slaves in the Eastern Uinta Mountains. Those are only two locations that I have mentioned. The Uinta Mountains stretch from East to West for over 70 miles. That’s a lot of area to cover and unlock and the canyons, rivers, mountain peaks, and everything in between.

Mormon Treasures and Gold of Uinta Mountains

MORMONS SETTLED INTO THE SALT LAKE CITY OF UTAH

TREASURES OF THE UINTA MOUNTAINS UTAH – Chapter 2

In the 1800s, the Mormon (aka LDS) pioneers settled in the Great Salt Lake City area. Their church organization was poor and did not have a lot of means to start their new homes at first, but soon things changed very quickly. Within the first couple of years, the LDS church built a city, temple, and started minting their own gold coins known as the Mormon coin. Some of you may ask, where did the money come from but archives and records tell an interesting story.

Shortly after arriving, the LDS leaders made friends with the local Indian tribes. The same Indians that were enslaved to work the Spanish mines not long before the Mormons arrived. In fact, some journals that I have accessed in the last few years suggest the Spanish were still mining secretly high in the Uinta mountains while the LDS church was building their city 40 miles away as the crow flies.

These documents and legends also suggest and explain that some of the local Indians became Mormons and the Indians then shared the stories and locations to a few rich mines to the LDS church. That’s where the Lost Rhoades Mines come into play with Utah. A man named Thomas Rhoades was shown the secret locations of a few rich mines by the Indians so the LDS could start to build their empire.

As the LDS church grew more powerful and wealthy, the idea of recovering more riches and lost history was born in Utah. The LDS church has a vault today in Little Cottonwood Canyon that is full of documents, old maps, treasures, artifacts, and much more. Some of these items have come from collection and buying but some, possibly many, came from Utah itself and now those lost historical items are locked away for the eyes of only a few LDS members today.

WHY ARE THERE LEGENDS OF TREASURE AND MINES IN UTAH?

TREASURES OF THE UINTA MOUNTAINS UTAH – Chapter 3

Utah is not short on written records since the 1850s. Many people have heard handed down stories and sometimes documents still make their way around Utah. Some of these documents are from the LDS collections. Other documents have been brought from Mexico City from the Spanish. Often it’s from treasure hunters researching and exploring Utah to try their luck on striking it rich.

I was introduced to the Utah legends back in 1997. Since that time, I have heard so many treasure and legend stories about Utah, I could write a book. Luckily for me, I’ve made many friends and these friends have friends and you can see where this is going. I have held many old artifacts in my hands including Spanish swords, coins, armor, and more. I have also held ancient artifacts from Utah as well. Like I mentioned earlier, Utah has much to offer to an explorer and treasure hunter.

Many old Spanish artifacts and maps have been collected by my friends and I. Old Spanish maps that point to the way to the Uinta Mountains. Many of these old maps show Spanish missions, mines, vaults, and buried caches. Many of them were researched and digital copies of these maps and documents were made and shared between teams and friends. There are many treasure hunters that did extensive research from the 1970s through the late 1990s. Many books have been written about the legends of Utah and its lost treasures and mines.

Authors like Gale R. Rhoades and Stephen B. Shaffer not only wrote about their research, they also spent decades in the Uinta Mountains, looking for clues. Many clues can still be found today if you know where to look. That being said, since I started treasure hunting in Utah in 1997, many clues have been lost due to age, time, weathering, and people. I have seen many clues destroyed by man. Sometimes it’s an outdoorsman who had no idea what he was destroying and sometimes it’s poor practice by selfish treasure hunters.

These types of clues are what were left behind so the person that hid the valuables, could one day come back and find his riches, mines, and/or buried caches. Sadly, if these clues are moved, relocated, and/or destroyed, the hidden object may be lost forever. Luckily I have seen many of these clues with my own two eyes. I’m a believer that the legends could be true because of that. Yet, I feel that there’s still plenty of room for someone to come in and use the methods of science and research to prove or disprove these legends.

There’s still time. Most of the famous and well known authors and treasure hunters of the 1970s through the1990s are now in their twilight years or have now passed away. The younger generation is more focused on tech and other things, rather than exploring the great unknown. This has left a huge hole in Utah legends for almost 20 years now. I believe there is more of a chance of finding lost treasures, mines, and artifacts with modern day technology. Drones, metal detectors, underwater detection and equipment, GPR’s, and LiDar systems could be a huge advantage to someone. New discoveries are made every day with modern technology and treasure hunting gear

I would say that if someone had the money, time, and people he or she trusted, there’s a very good chance that new discoveries could be made. Who knows, maybe you are the right person for the job.

OTHER MYSTERIOUS STORIES AND LEGENDS OF THE UINTA MOUNTAINS

TREASURES OF THE UINTA MOUNTAINS UTAH – Chapter 4

Utah has its fair share of folklore and mysterious phenomena. This is why I love Utah and its legends. There are so many, who’s to say that they are not true. The culture of Utah is very interesting too. Why are there so many legends and stories to hear?

Several TV shows are making their way into the networks about Utah legends. Shows like:

The Secrets of Skinwalker Ranch | History Channel

The Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch | Discovery Channel

If it’s good enough for Discovery Channel and the History Channel, it must be entertaining, right? I have learned that there’s a little truth to every story and I never dismiss the chance to investigate to see if the Treasures in America team can prove or disprove a legend. In fact, my team of treasure hunters, researchers, and explorers have traveled a lot in the last few years, chasing these legends down. We have found enough evidence to keep us hunting and researching.

It’s not up to me to tell you as a reader to believe something. I like to put information out there so you can look into it yourself. More things that have stuck around Utah legends are curses, paranormal activity, Bigfoot encounters, and UFO sightings. Is Utah a strange place? I would say so and I would like to leave this chapter at this point and let you go do your own research. Let’s see what you come up with.

IS UTAH HISTORY AND LEGENDS SUPPRESSED?

TREASURES OF THE UINTA MOUNTAINS UTAH – Chapter 5

It sure is! As I was going to college, I decided to study 3 fields, anthropology, history, and business. Anthropology was my major and I really enjoy the study and research. That being said, I have many theories about the possibility of wrong information and hidden agendas from Utah.

  • Religion is a tricky subject but I want to mention that followers of a specific religion are prone to ignoring information outside of their accepted dogma. The LDS church having Utah to themselves for many years was not the best thing for legends and research. Like I mentioned in chapter 2, the LDS church has their own vault that stores many unknown and untold documents, artifacts, and much more. These types of records are only studied by the LDS church alone and they control what information is released. Not to mention, the LDS church does not focus on this part of its history. I’m assuming only a few highly placed leaders know much about the discoveries the LDS church made and stored once they arrived in Utah.

  • Utah state officials, archeologists, and historians are taught the same things in school. Most of these officials I have tried to work with in the past are sometimes narrow minded. I have been told several times by these officials that the Spanish did not travel as far North as Utah. I was told that everything that I have found and researched is most likely from trappers and hunters in the past. I suspect that our government, the Smithsonian, and other organizations suppress history from the public. I do not know why and I am not going to go into conspiracies, but what I have researched, found in the field, and observed with my own two eyes are not objects, structures, and treasures of trappers and hunters.

  • Today, the LDS population is about 62% in the state of Utah. Just 10 years ago it was in the 74% range. From what I mentioned above about religion and officials that will not recognize anything outside of their religious dogma, there is a great deal of room for a lot of misstudied or misinterpreted information. I am 90% sure that many case studies and research conducted in Utah are contaminated by faith, beliefs, and culture. Where does that leave a person who wants to find the truth? Stay unbiased and only look to proving or disproving Utah legends. Think of yourself as a person of science, not going from what you were told. Conduct your own research and see where it takes you.

  • Modern-day treasure hunters are very secretive people. Due to the fear that the government will confiscate or wilfully mis-identify a discovery, Utah treasure hunters slide under the radar and play it quietly. Because of this, many discoveries are unknown and never studied. Of course, the treasure hunter makes his or her new find and possibly becomes wealthy from it, but look at what may have been lost.

What was found?

Who placed it there?

When was it placed there?

Where did they go from there?

These are questions that I wonder about. Do you see where this cycle is going? This subject is why there are so many unanswered questions. It also leaves more questions that need to be resolved.

WHERE TO START YOUR RESEARCH AND JOURNEY IN THE UNITAS

TREASURES OF THE UINTA MOUNTAINS UTAH – Chapter 6

Luckily, there is a lot of information to find and again, technology is our friend. You can browse the internet all week about Utah legends and treasures. Many books have been written and simple Google searches can land you on some books to buy and read.

I am going to list some famous treasure stories below so you can get a head start on your research

  • Montezuma’s Treasure (Kanab and the Uinta Mountains)

  • The Lost Josephine Mine

  • The Gold of Carre-Shinob

  • The Dream Mine

Spanish Map of mines and treasures in Uinta Mountains

This will get you started. If you want to seek after these legends, take it from me, it takes time. I have spent over 20 years researching and studying what I can. I have read over 40 books, searched for digital archives, visited the secret places in the libraries, and spent 23 years in the field. I have had many great adventures and I would like to mention that the excitement is in hard work and the hunt.

Everything else is a bonus. Please do your research and stay off of Utah Indian reservations. The local Indian Tribes need to be respected. Understand that this is their land and was long before whites arrived in Utah.  Utah Indian tribes still remember the stories passed down from their fathers-fathers. The Utah Indian tribes near the Uinta Mountains do not like explorers on the land. They are still hiding mines and treasure locations. The Indians lived through the harsh treatment of the Spanish. They think outsiders have what they call “Whitemans Disease”.

The Indian tribes had no use for gold, silver, and treasures. All they know is that it brings hate towards others and suffering to their people. In the years of the twentieth century, I have heard of stories where treasure hunters entered the reservation lands and the Indians chased them down with guns and trucks. If you are not a Utah resident, respect the urban legends and Utah treasure hunters, be mindful of your demeanor. The Indians claimed to have cursed the Uinta Mountains from anyone who tried to look for gold and riches.

I can tell you from personal experience, that in some places of the Uinta Mountains, I have had very strange circumstances where I have had to leave the mountains and try another day because of my mental state. One minute I was fine, and the next, I was not. I do not necessarily believe in curses but I do believe in negative energy surrounding all the terrible things that occurred in the Uinta Mountains.

Whenever I sense these strange feelings, I am always close to a site that I know slavery, murder, or greed occurred in the area. ~ Treasures of the Uinta Mountains Utah Series

THE SEARCH FOR AZTEC TREASURE & AZTLAN

THE SEARCH FOR AZTEC TREASURE & AZTLAN
Painted by: Antonio Mendez, Partner and Team Member of Treasures in America

There is a legend that speaks of Aztec treasure that were secretly carried away by Aztec people just before Cortez and his Spanish conquered the Aztecs. Where is this treasure hiding today? Some people believe the treasure was taken back to the Aztecs Homeland of Aztlan. A land that they knew before they relocated their people to Mexico City in the 1300s.

THE SPANISH DEFEATED THE MIGHTY AZTECS

Spanish conquistadors entered the Aztec city called Tenochtitlan in 1519 A.D. with some help from others that knew the Aztec language and location of their city. After some time, the Spanish decided to conquer the Aztecs.  Montezuma knew of the desires and intentions of the Spanish and wanted to protect their history, documents, and treasures safe from the plundering. During the battle, Montezuma entrusted some of his people to remove their treasure from the city without the Spanish noticing that riches were being removed.

WHAT IS MONTEZUMA’S TREASURE WORTH?

THE SEARCH FOR AZTEC TREASURE & AZTLAN – Chapter 1

During my several years of research on this story, It has helped paint a picture for me that shows that the Aztecs had a very vast treasure. The Aztecs were not gold miners and they did not learn the method of making gold objects but the Mixtec culture was.  The Aztecs paid for and traded with the Mixtec for valuables and they were experts in melting down gold and silver and records suggest that they made many treasures of gold for the Aztecs.

Here’s another thing to think about. The Aztec historical documents, where are those? The Aztecs had their own written language, but yet today, there’s not much out there to study. Did the Spanish destroy all of the Aztecs’ written documents or did those documents disappear with their treasures and valuables?

Some scholars believe that the Aztec treasure, also known as Montezuma’s treasure, would be worth over 1 billion dollars in today’s money. I would say that could be very true, but what if it is hidden in a safe location somewhere with gold, silver, documents, and more? Could it be worth more if found? The answer is yes! It could be worth so much that a price tag could be huge and with a price we can only imagine!

THE BACKSTORY OF THE AZTEC CULTURE AND THEIR HOMELAND

THE SEARCH FOR AZTEC TREASURE & AZTLAN – Chapter 2

The Aztec empire did not live in Tenochtitlan (currently known as Mexico City) for very long. In fact, they lived in Mexico for no more than 225 years before Cortez and the Spanish plundered and destroyed their city. The Aztec culture arrived in Mexico to start building their new city sometime in the year of 1300 A.D.

It’s amazing to think about the pyramid structure and city that they built in that short amount of time. This knowledge couldn’t have come from a new civilization. The Aztecs were not a new culture in the 1300’s.  They were a sophisticated group of people that relocated from their homeland and brought their knowledge and it was gradually mixed with the surrounding cultures of Mexico, lIke the Maya and Mixtec people. But where did they come from?

Aztlan is the name of their homeland. Some historians believe that the Aztec people lived in Aztlan for thousands of years before relocating to Mexico. If that was true, they would have known this land very well. Perhaps they knew it well enough to possibly know a secret hiding place where they could lock their treasure away forever. There’s many theories out there, but I like to focus more on local information and legends.

MEET THE TREASURE HUNTING TEAM

MEXICO CITY AND ITS LEGENDS OF THE AZTEC CIVILIZATION

THE SEARCH FOR AZTEC TREASURE & AZTLAN – Chapter 3

Antonio Mendez, Treasures in America partner and team member, grew up in the surrounding area of Mexico City until he was 18 years old. In all the years that I’ve known Antonio, I would say that he is a very hard worker, a great partner and friend, and an honest man. He has told me that Mexico has many stories of the Maya, Aztecs, and more. He has told me many things that I haven’t heard before. My research has given me knowledge including what the local people say about their history. It is not information that is tweaked and intertwined with their own narratives.

Antonio has taught me much about the Mexican culture and the Aztec story is an interesting one. It is said by Mexicans that the Aztecs did in fact, come from their homeland. They were once a part of a great civilization that lived North of Mexico. This thriving culture lived as one, for thousands of years, until one day, it separated into seven civilizations. For a while, these seven cultures started growing apart from each other and away from their original homeland. One day, the Mexican Aztecs were told by one of their Gods to find a new promised land.

The Aztec people traveled South of their homeland, at that time, trying to find a new place to live. For 200 years they tried to settle in a new home, again and again, only to be driven out by native cultures in the area. After a long journey, the Aztec people settled in the place where modern day Mexico City is now located.

After careful consideration of the Mexico City area, the Mexica (Aztec) people decided to build a floating island in a lake and that’s where the great city of Tenochtitlan layed. This island was massive and the engineering of its structures, water source, and upkeep was no elementary planning or endeavor. We are talking about a great city. So great that the Spanish were heading towards the Aztecs and carefully planning their own tactics for their victory. At this time of Cortez, there were many great cities in Central and Southern America. The Aztec city must have been a grand place for all of Mexico to compare to others when the Spanish inquired about other thriving cultures and cities.

CLUES ABOUT AZTLAN’S LOCATION – HOMELAND TO THE AZTECS

THE SEARCH FOR AZTEC TREASURE & AZTLAN – Chapter 4

Some people say the flag of Mexico holds a couple of good clues as to where the Aztecs homeland once was located. The cactus is a clue to their homeland, or some think it is. According to some of my friends that grew up in the Mexico City area, the Mexico flag was inspired by the Aztecs and a couple of symbols were placed as reminders and pride of the Aztec culture. The rattlesnake is another clue.

Flag of Mexico - Culture and History

I have lived in the Western states of North America all of my life. I can think of a couple of locations where cactus and rattlesnakes are a symbolization of the state.  They are Arizona, New Mexico, and southern Utah. This does go along with the story of the Aztecs traveling South from their homelands. Let’s look at a few more clues left by the Aztecs.

Montezuma's Treasure Clues

This picture has many clues, I believe!  If someone could only unlock the mysteries to it! Again you can see the cactus that resembles closely to the Saguaro cactus from Arizona and some parts of New Mexico. The next clue, I believe, is that the Mexican people believe that the Aztecs were once a part of a grander and much larger group of people, and in time that culture became seven different tribes (or cultures).

One more interesting clue is that this picture represents a cave of 7 chambers or 7 tribes living together in a specific area. It shows water and some native Indian symbolizations of the Native Indians of North America. At the same time, it shows hints to what we would think of Central America cultures like the Maya, Aztecs, Toltecs, and more.

This seems strange to me and reminds me of the research I have done on the Lost Egyptian City of the Grand Canyon. Could there be more to the story of the North American Indian tribes? It’s also interesting to learn about Egyptian like pyramids found North of Mexico City, like Teotihuacan. These were not built by the Aztecs. Their story tells us that this city was long abandoned by the time they reached Mexico City in the 1300s. In my mind, clearly, there’s more to ancient American history than we were taught in schools.

AZTEC BUILDING METHODS AND ENGINEERING

THE SEARCH FOR AZTEC TREASURE & AZTLAN – Chapter 5

One thing that my studies have taught me to realize is that different cultures had different building methods, although many can say that cultures inherited similar building methods, language, written words, and symbols, I know for a fact that Rome wasn’t built in a day. The mighty Maya did not learn how to build their pyramids overnight. All cultures learned how to build better, bigger, and more efficient buildings over time.

So my question is, how did the Aztecs end up in Mexico city and build a floating island so sophisticated that it lasted with this group of people for over 200 years before Cortez and the Conquistadors conquered them? They had to have learned about building such great structures from those who had lived where they came from. Or did they team up with another culture that taught them the building methods? I tend to lean more towards they had the knowledge from the past building.

So now that leaves us looking for ancient ruins in Arizona, New Mexico, California, and Utah. The thing is, I have already done this. Arizona has many great cliff dwellings and they are magnificent but they don’t seem to have the same engineering as the Aztec city in Mexico City. One obvious place in Arizona could be Montezuma’s Castle near Camp Verde. It has the name but again, it doesn’t feel Aztec. I visited Montezuma’s Castle and it feels very much like North American Indians. I’m not saying the possibility is zero but, how did the Aztecs go from clay structures in a cliff to a man-made island and pyramids in Mexico City? If someone reaches out to the local Indian tribes surrounding the Grand Canyon, I bet they will find more to the story than we now know.

Montezuma's Castle Arizona | Aztlan - THE SEARCH FOR AZTEC TREASURE & AZTLAN

Mesa Verde National Park and Ruins in Colorado are beautiful, but I think they aren’t Aztec engineering either. They are very great structures but it doesn’t feel Aztec made, but again more like Northern American Indian tribes. So where does that leave us in the hunt?

Mesa Verde Ruins Colorado Aztlan - THE SEARCH FOR AZTEC TREASURE & AZTLAN

ANCIENT RUINS OF NORTHERN AMERICA

THE SEARCH FOR AZTEC TREASURE & AZTLAN – Chapter 6

Now, I ask you as the reader, what great ruins does North America have? I have been pondering on this for a while. When I travel to Mexico, I can spend all day traveling and visiting ancient ruins but in America, that is harder to do. Why do you think that is so?

At first, I figured it had something to do with the ice age and global warming from thousands of years ago, but after some research, places like Utah, California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and many more were not affected like the northern states. So why is it hard to find grand structures and ruins in North America? It makes me wonder if the great civilizations of North America did it differently. I have read many reports of civilizations living in caves, even Grand cities under the ground.

Is it possible that these cities underground have not been found or that history is being suppressed? I would say yes and yes to both. Another thought is dams and man-made lakes in North America. It is not the first time I have researched an old legend and my tracks stop where water and man-made lakes begin. We have all heard of Lake Powell, right? Did you know that at the bottom of Lake Powell, some of the best native Indians structures and artifacts can still be found? On one, before the dam was finished, 3 people were allowed to study the Glen Canyon area before it was flooded forever.

Is it possible that Aztlan could be sitting at the bottom of a man-made lake? I would say let’s not discard that at this point.

Ancient Lakes Could Hide Aztlan | Homeland of the Aztecs - THE SEARCH FOR AZTEC TREASURE & AZTLAN

Since the Aztecs had the knowledge of building a great floating island city in Mexico, it could be safe to say that they might have done this same building in Aztlan. That leads me to ponder on possibilities that Aztlan could be a buried city in North America somewhere. It’s not the first time this has happened. I’ve been working with a tribe in South Mexico that built their modern day city on top of an ancient buried city without knowing they did so. If you can’t imagine how that happened read this blog I wrote, Ancient Lost City in Mexico

Many people believe that there are great lakes in North America that can’t be seen today. Many people have studied these areas and are convinced that many great lakes once existed. Is it possible that Aztlan could be buried underground with time? Our planet is a magnificent place and it still intrigues me today. Our planet has pushed the reset buttons many times and each time it has, many new things change geologically and more. So where does this leave us? I would say with many questions, and not enough answers, only possibilities.

Modern day technology can change this. With tech devices, like LiDar and GPR, we could scan areas to see if man-made structures are hidden in vegetation or buried under the ground. The millions dollar question is where to start the search?

MODERN DAY TREASURE HUNTING & RESEARCHING

THE SEARCH FOR AZTEC TREASURE & AZTLAN – Chapter 8

Montezuma’s Treasure in Kanab Utah or the Uinta Mountains in Utah

I can think of some legends in Utah that could help with a starting point. Back in the 1800s, a man traveled to Kanab, Utah, on his bicycle, from Salt Lake City. He showed the townspeople an ancient map that he believed was Aztec. He also believed that this old map pointed to Kanab and that the great Monetuzma’s treasure was hidden in a cave system a few miles out of town. Within a short time, he convinced 85% of the town to help him look for the treasure. For a couple of months, Kanab’s stores, hotels, and many other businesses had closed signs on their storefronts,  because the whole town was hoping to find this lost treasure

Montezuma's Treasure in Kanab Utah - THE SEARCH FOR AZTEC TREASURE & AZTLAN

The treasure was never located on record but a cave system, strange rock carving symbols, and more were found in the area. Could this be the great city of the Aztecs? The search has started and ended many times. Modern day treasure hunters in the 1990s worked with a landowner because they believed the treasure was hidden on his property. A few bad things happened during their hunt and even the man lost his life. The landowners suddenly had a stroke of bad luck. The hunt was abandoned and the landowners will not allow treasure hunting on their lands today.

There are many stories of curses and bad energy in Utah surrounding these legends and ancient people and treasures.

There is another large group of people that believe Montezuma’s treasure is stored and hidden from man in the Uinta Mountains, in the northeast section of Utah’s largest mountain range. The Uinta Mountains have so many legends and they all revolve around secrets, mysteries, curses, ancient cultures, and the Spanish. If a man spent his whole life studying these mysteries, he would not be able to conduct 50% of these legends in his lifetime. There are many mysteries in the Uinta Mountains. Ute Indians, Navajo Indians, and other tribes have lived in this mountain range for thousands of years. Their stories could really gain the attention of an explorer today.

Three Kings Panel | Aztec Mysteries -THE SEARCH FOR AZTEC TREASURE & AZTLAN

Strange pictographs can be found very near Vernal, Utah. The locals call this the 3 Kings Panel. The panel is very magnificent and scholars and professionals have tried to unlock the mystery of these ancient people and who they were. Because of the stories of the Spanish explorers in the Uinta Mountains, from the 1600s to the 1800s, researchers are lead to believe they were not only there to mine gold and silver, but they were looking for something significant, something of value. That’s what the Spanish did back then. They were plunderers and conquerors.

  • I have only scratched the surface of the legends but I hope that I have opened your mind to possibilities that we can still learn much about the real history in North, Central, and South America. I have given you some tools to start your journey. See where it takes you. Read some of my other blogs!  They are of different stories similar to this one. SUNKEN TREASURES OF THE CARIBBEAN

LEGENDS ARE TRUE IF YOU KNOW THE HISTORY

PIRATE, SPANISH, BRITISH, & FRENCH SHIPS LOST AT SEA

We have all heard about the stories of pirates plundering ships in the Caribbean for riches but have you heard the full story? There is more to the story than you know.

WHY ARE THERE SO MANY TREASURES LOST AT SEA?

SUNKEN TREASURES OF THE CARIBBEAN

There has been evidence found in the last 50 years of voyagers sailing to the Americas before Christopher Columbus. New land and resources were a big thing to the Vikings, Chinese, and many other powerful and strong nations. There’s evidence that suggests that ancient Egyptians traveled to America before Christopher Columbus. The word spread throughout these nations and traveling to the New World was not uncommon. Some believe that the Knight Templar Treasure was brought to America in the late 1300s.

America was an unknown and unexplored land that had many resources like minerals, new types of food like corn, and had wide-open spaces to build and start new lives. The Maya, Aztecs, and many other powerful civilizations inhabited these regions for thousands of years. America was the new place to see and discover.

When visitors arrived in America and saw the vast civilizations that had been living here very well with huge cities, and organized building methods and techniques. They found incredible valuables like gold and silver, that’s when greed began to settle in. There were so many nations spread over the American continents and these native cultures seemed powerful but unbefitting to the European way of life. This is where the Spanish came into the story.

Some believe that Christofer Columbus didn’t just stumble upon America. Some believe that he had heard of vast lands and multiple valuable resources. Columbus convinced the King of Spain to fund his voyage, to see if the rumors were true. To make a long history story short, after Christoper Columbus returned to Spain with his stories, the Spanish were on a mission to take their search to a new level. The Spanish conquered and plundered many native civilizations that had existed and gained control in areas like Southern Florida, Mexico City, and islands in the Caribbean.

The Spanish capitalized on the ability to move their spoils. They were very successful in mining operations in North, Central, and South America. Their main headquarters were in Mexico City and Spanish Ships were coming and going for years. Spain became very powerful and Spanish treasures were being transported to the homeland. When the British Royal King got word of the Spanish success in America, the war started to take over the Caribbean.

British and Spanish War

1585 – 1604 ENGLAND AND SPAIN FIGHT FOR RICHES

The Anglo-Spanish War – Sunken Treasures of the Caribbean

During the 1500s, Spain was acquiring great wealth from their mining and plundering. At this time, most of the riches were already taken and carried away from the Aztec and Inca civilizations. The Spanish were hot on the trail to producing rich Spanish mines and traveling North of Mexico city. Arizona, New Mexico, California, Texas, and Utah were the areas where a great deal of the precious gold and silver were acquired along with the mines of South America.

The Spanish had mines scattered across the American continents. We have found reports of hundreds of Spanish mines in Utah state alone. Some of them were small and only mined for a short time, but some of them were extremely rich and were mined for many years. Some believe that the main shipping port was just East of Mexico city but recent research suggests that the Spanish also had a smaller port in San Antonio Texas as well.

Now that you know a little bit about the Spanish success and mining in America, think about England and what the King thought when he heard that Spanish ships were sailing back and forth with ships heavily laden with gold, silver, and other precious resources?

By 1585, the Spanish declared war on the English and it was in some way, the first piracy to take place. England wanted the treasures which were loaded on the Spanish ships and Spain’s economy depended on the ships coming back loaded with valuables. Some call this time “World War Zero.” Spain created an alliance with France which made them a world superpower. These fleets of ships were heavily guarded and loaded with as many cannons as they could handle. Some were not as fortunate and did not have the capability to sail with many cannons, or any cannons at all.

The king of England didn’t have enough money to fund new shipbuilding, nor did he have the money to keep his ships in the Caribbean to hunt after the heavily laden Spanish and French ships. This is where Pirates came into play.. Privateers are what they were called and the King of England signed off many contracts to these privateers to hunt and attack the French and Spanish ships, and rob them of their valuables in the Caribbean Sea.

The Crown gave an official license, also known as the letter of marque, and the privateers funded their own ships and crews. During the Spanish and English war, the king of England signed 1,622 letters of marque. In return, the privateers made big money robbing the Spanish and the King of England didn’t have to spend anything to have a Navy fighting their war.

Many of the battles happened in the Caribbean because the only route from America was through the Gulf of Mexico running through the Caribbean Sea. During these 12 years of war, many ships never returned to the ports of Europe. Many of them lay at the bottom of the ocean, full of treasures. The British clearly won the war but there was something new growing on the horizon.

PORT ROYAL JAMAICA – THE BRITISH STRONGHOLD

When Pirates Were Born – Sunken Treasures of the Caribbean

At Port Royal, the King of England sent out news that the attack on the Spanish ships must come to a halt. Many of the privateers lost their means of making a living. Massive unemployment took place. These men knew nothing but sailing and plundering. Thousands of privateers lost their livelihood. While most of them drank their way to nothing, many whispers echoed about what the next move would be.

Even though the war was over, the Spanish rounded up their own privateers called the Spanish Guarda Costa. These legitimate privateers worked for the Crown of Spain and would attack British merchant ships coming out of Port Royal in Jamaica while the British privateers were ordered to stand down and attacking any Spanish ships was forbidden.

A man named Benjamin Hornigold, an unemployed Captain & privateer of the King of England, grew restless and determined to find another way. Hornigold and his crew sat down for the last time in Port Royal to discuss a new mission, they decided to move to the heart of the Caribbean from under the authority of the king of England. This place was Nassau in the Bahamas.

Private Headquarters Nassau

NASSAU PORT BAHAMAS – PIRATES HEADQUARTERS

No Ship Is Safe Along the Main Route – Sunken Treasures of the Caribbean

Nassau quickly became the roughest and most famous pirate haven. Many of the most famous private names like Benjamin Hornigold, Henry Jenning, “Black Sam” Bellamy, Anne Bonny, and probably the most famous pirate, Edward Thatch “Blackbeard all made Nassau their main headquarters. This port was not unfamiliar with having several pirate ships docked at the same time. When these captains and crews weren’t out plundering, they spent their time at the bar, with women, and celebrating their riches.

At this time, piracy was in full swing and no ship was safe. Not the British navy, Spanish ships, nor any merchant ships. If any ship came into sight of these pirates, you can be sure that a fight and plundering lay ahead.

Henry Jennings had come to be known as the most violent pirate but, that’s only because Blackbeard was under Horigold’s belt for the time being. Because piracy was at full force many kings and countries were losing valuables at sea. The pirates would steal ships, convert crew members to their side, and of course, take anything of value. This went on for years.

The British built huge ships with over 30 cannons to fight off the pirates and even then, the pirates won many times. Merchant ships were not usually armed and they didn’t put up much of a fight, they were only paid to transfer the cargo, not lose their lives for it. After some time, England, Spain, and many others were falling deeper and deeper into debt. The cost of trying to stay one step ahead of these pirates proved to be expensive and much of their gold, silver, spices and other valuable items never made it to port.

This caused many of the countries and companies to be in financial distress. Some of the heavily used ships were trying new routes and sailing into dangerous storms attempting to stay away from the pirates. Hundreds of ships and their cargo were lost due to this. Sometimes the pirates would sail with their precious cargo and they also would find themselves stranded on the shore after a bad storm. The fighting between the Pirates and the merchants continued on.

Even though the pirates were ahead of the game with winning, often their treasure was buried on islands and shores. Frequently the buried plunder was never recovered. Even the Pirate crews perished and the valuables lost to time.

THE END OF PIRACY AND THE PLUNDERING

Some Pirates Took The Treaty From the King of England – Sunken Treasures of the Caribbean

The king of England did something that no one thought he would do, he offered a treaty and all crimes forgiven to any pirate that would stop and return to normal life. When word spread that the king was offering to forgive all pirates, things started to change. Many pirates were great sailors and many of them were educated and very wealthy at this time. The chance to stop pirating and keep the treasures they had was not a bad idea to many of them.

The pirates that didn’t sign the treaty were hunted down by the royal navy and most of them were finally killed or just disappeared. This wasn’t a quick victory for the navy, the fighting went on for another couple of years. Again, more ships lost at sea and the ocean bottom claimed much of their treasure.

Some claim to think that thousands of ships, loaded with cargo were not only sunk but valuables were never recovered in the Caribbean. This is where modern-day treasure hunting comes into play. If you could venture out to sea for treasure, would you try?

Sunken Ships and Treasure Hunting

WHERE TO LOOK FOR TREASURE IN THE CARIBBEAN?

A Treasure Map to Lost History & Treasure – Sunken Treasures of the Caribbean

As I have mentioned in all my previous treasure blogs, do your research! Luckily for us treasure seekers, ship manifests were created for every ship. This not only gives great information but it has dates, years, the ship’s name, the captain’s name, and what cargo the ship was carrying. With documents becoming digitalized, there’s a lot of information that can be found online.

I’m not saying it will be easy. It will be expensive and timely for someone to not only travel to Spain, Mexico City, England, and France to review clues and to speak with historians, the ships and equipment it will take to recover these sunken treasures of the Caribbean will be costly. You’ll need the right type of treasure hunting gear to start your hunt.

There are a few ways a modern-day treasure hunter could approach this hunt. Do you want to look for the buried treasure offshore and land? Or do you want to look for sunken ships? Either way, another thing to keep in mind is the sailing routes. Ships would use routes just like planes and pilots do today. All captains had to stay the course for many reasons. Sometimes due to bad weather, a captain would rear off course but keep the Caribbean Sea area in mind, there’s plenty of shallow water in these parts.

If it was me, I would find extremely detailed maps of these routes. Make sure you keep these main ports and land in mind.

  • Mexico City Port
  • The Gulf of Mexico
  • The Caribbean Sea
  • The Bahamas
  • Jamaica
  • Cape Cod
  • Tortuga

When it comes to looking for treasure where the pirates may have buried their riches, I would look to some of these islands.

  • Cuba
  • Cayman Island
  • Haiti
  • Dominican Republic
  • Puerto Rico
  • Grand Bahama
  • Turks and Caicos Islands

I can not stress enough… do your homework. Read, study, learn, and then do it all over again. Make friends with knowledgeable people that know a thing or two about history. You’ll be surprised how many people would not only want to join your search crew but would also bring something grand to the table to be a part of your adventure.

You never know, I may see you out there one day. Happy hunting. Be safe. Find Your Adventure

Ground Penetrating Radar | Everything You Need to Know

GROUND PENETRATING RADAR SYSTEMS

Chapter 1 – Ground Penetrating Radar | Everything You Need to Know

Ground penetrating radar systems, also known as GPRs, are used today to find many things below the surface of the ground. The standard metal detectors can read objects in the ground from 0″ to 9″ in the ground. More expensive and professional metal detectors can read up to 4’ feet in the ground. But what about all the great things to find below the 4’ feet?

Long range metal detectors can read the frequencies in the air from targets like gold, silver, iron artifacts, and much more. They will point the way and give you a distance but how deep will they read objects? This is still unclear. It depends on the target size and mineralizations in the ground.

LiDar is a great tool as well but the lasers only ready what’s on the surface. This is a great tool to find structures in the vegetations, including artifacts and more but what’s buried under the ground?

As you can see, there’re many types of tools that officials, archeologists, treasure hunters, and more useful but even with the equipment mentioned above, there’re still a few important things that are missing.

GROUND PENETRATING RADAR

Chapter 2 – Ground Penetrating Radar | Everything You Need to Know

Depending on what you are looking for, the ground penetrating radar can be used for so much. Let’s explore some of the possibilities. If you are a mining company looking for a vein of gold, silver, and other precious metals, you can scan the area and find the source. When it comes to mining, it is all about finding the metals and with the GPR, you now can find where the richer deposits are.

For treasure hunters, the ground penetrating radar can be used to make you rich! Imagine that you are looking for a lost mine. You know you are in the right area but you can not find the mine entrance. By using the GPR to scan the area, it can locate voids in the ground like mine tunnels. It can also be used to find cave systems, and it can be used to find buried treasures. The GPR systems will also find relics and more. There is no limit to how these GPR’s can change your search.

Oil companies use GPR systems for a similar purpose as a mining company. Instead of looking for valuable metals, they use ground penetrating radar to find oil deposits deep in the ground. Just think how valuable this is for someone looking for a source.

HOW DOES GROUND PENETRATING RADAR WORK?

GPR systems or ground penetrating radar use the microwave band, reading the frequencies from 1-1000MHz. In order for a GPR to function correctly, you will need two main parts, a transmitter and a receiving antenna. The transmitter will send electromagnetic energy into the soil. Ground penetrating radar works by emitting a pulse and it records the echoes that result in subsurfaces objects. That includes voids, artifacts, minerals, mines, cave systems, oil, and more.

GPR imaging devices will also detect variations in the ground. When the electromagnetic impulse hits the object, the density of the object it located reflects, refracts, and scatters the signal. This will cause the GPR systems to send a reading that stands out from the previous readings in the area. GPR systems have software that translates these types of data into images and the depth readings of the objects.

With all of this technology, now you can see how a GPR system can map out the area and let the user know when it has found something that is in the ground. Structures, treasures, minerals, relics, caves, mines, and so much more can now be seen from the surface.

GPR- Ground Penetrating Radar

HOW CAN GROUND PENETRATING RADAR BE USED?

The traditional way is a push along or drag along type device. The push around GPR is similar to a lawnmower-shaped device while the pull along is a device that you drag across the ground like a sled.

Technology is changing every day and now manufacturers have successfully created GPR systems that are light enough and effective enough to attach to a drone. This is how the Maya lost structures were found in Mexico in 2018. Officials are still using this technique in that same area and they are finding more and more lost Maya cities buried and lost in the vegetation and under the ground.

GROUND PENETRATING RADAR ARCHEOLOGY

Archaeologists have been using GPR systems for quite a while now. They have found lost cities in deep depths of the earth. Valuable relics and glorious artifacts that you see in the museums likey could have been discovered by GPR systems. Just think what you can do with a device that detects what you can not see with your own two eyes.

Here’s the catch, like I have mentioned in so many other articles, you need to be in the right area to find something worth finding. Sure, you could use a GPR to scan an unknown area, hoping to find something. But what if you do the research so when you do use a GPR, you have much better chances of finding something very worth it.

For intense, as a treasure hunter, I would not plan a trip to the park and scan that area. There will be all types of trash. But what if you are in a Spanish rich mine and treasure area and then you use the GPR system? See what I’m saying? Do your research and find lost history. I promise you, it will point you in the right area and your time will not be wasted.

GROUND PENETRATING RADAR FOR SALE

Interesting enough, looking for a GPR is hard to do. Where do you look and which one do you buy? When it comes to how to look for one for sale, it’s fairly easy. Go to Google and use keyword searches like “GPR for sale” or “where to buy a GPR”. That will point you in the right direction for starters.

I would also like to help you in choosing the right GPR for you. My first suggestion is to have a budget. Browse the internet and look at cheap, mid-grade, and professional GPR systems and figure out where your budget is. Always stay within your budget and do not spend more than you can afford. I can not think of too many situations where buying out of your spending limit is a good thing.

The next thing that I would suggest is quality. When it comes to technology, you usually get what you pay for. If you do buy the cheap GPR system, prepare yourself for lower performance than the more expensive GPR. That goes the same with functions and options. The more you spend, the better options you have which in return, will help you discover more under the ground. There’s some things to think about. Do your research! GPR systems are not cheap and this is an investment for sure.

GROUND PENETRATING RADAR RENTALS

Renting a GPR system might be the way to go for some of you. Even if you spend $1000 dollars to rent the device for a few days, it’s still cheaper than buying one. The downside to that is, if you are planning on using one multiple times throughout your search, you might be better off buying one.

Again, I would do your research and see how much it would cost renting vs buying. Another great possibility is that you might be able to not only rent the GPR system, but you may also be able to hire men that are skilled at using the GPR. This is a game-changer because if you are ready to make discoveries quickly, it most likely will not happen if you are a beginner. It takes time to learn the GPR system and software.

GROUND PENETRATING RADAR PRICE

I have seen GPR system pricing expand from $2,000.00 to $80,000.00 dollars. It depends on what you can afford. Because this is such a difference in price and performance, I suggest you do your homework. It’s not a bad idea to start off with a more inexpensive GPR at first. You can always learn from the cheaper GPRs and then sell it and buy a more expensive one.

GROUND PENETRATING RADAR DEPTH

This is where performance and price comes into play. Just like a metal detector, if you buy a cheap one, it will not read targets in the ground as deep. Same goes with GPRs. I’ve been told by manufacturers that some GPR systems can read targets as deep as 2- feet in the ground. I’ve also researched much more expensive ones and I have been told that those can reach as deep as over 150 deep in the ground.

Make sure you check on reviews, articles, and more to research the brand and model that you are considering. If you are buying a no-name brand from eBay, you may have to be careful. Even though the price might be in your budget, you may not be happy with the way it performs. I am not saying that cheaper does not work. I am simply saying that you should be careful. Many GPR systems work very well but I have also heard of some not working very well as well.

THE LOST RHOADES MINES

THE LOST RHOADES MINES AND WHERE TO FIND THEM

Utah legends are very well known, and the Rhoades mines go right along with the Utah treasure culture and folklore. I suggest you sit back and relax because I’m about to tell you a great story.

We all know about the story of the Spanish that conquered the mighty and powerful Aztecs, but do you know what happened after Cortez and his Spaniards defeated the Aztecs?  Many Spanish ships and conquistadors followed Cortez from Spain after news spread that Cortez had a victory. The king of Spain was ready to explore for land and riches and he spent a lot of money and manpower to do so. For many years, the Spanish explored South and North of Mexico City. They reached as far south as the Incas in Peru and as far north as Idaho for generations. That’s right. I said Idaho.

You must understand that the Spanish were not invested in anything but valuable things at that time. Plundering and taking what they wanted is what they were good at. Slavery and massacres were normal along with conquering a city and converting people into Catholics.

A lot of their time was spent in Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and more but Utah is where this story lives. We all were taught that Dominquez Escalante was the first Spanish explorer to travel the western states, but that history is wrong. It has been proven by many researchers, but the officials have discredited that due to the history that has been taught in our school systems. I’m not a conspiracy theorist, but I know what I have seen with my own two eyes. Some call me a treasure hunter. Some say a historical treasure hunter. I like the term Historical Researcher. I find evidence of history, which in return, points me to unknown treasures, mines, caches, old documents, maps, and much more.

I would like to make a couple of things clear to the reader before I move on to this story. I am a religious man but I’m not faithful to one church or organization. I don’t let my research and discoveries become contaminated by religion. I only go where the evidence takes me. I’m driven by real history, not what I learned in school. I’m more of a treasure and history scientist that conducts real case studies based on evidence.  I use urban legends and folklore to help me start new research, but I do not let it lead the way.

Spanish Conquistadors Exploration to Treasures & Mines

SPANISH EXPLORATIONS TO UTAH

THE LOST RHOADES MINES CHAPTER 1

By the early 1600s, the Spanish had been plundering and mining in Arizona and they slowly made their way north. Spanish conquistadors ended up looking for more gold and riches to be found and landed in places like the Grand Canyon, Zions National Park, St. George Utah, and many other places. As their travel grew further and further north, they would find one place to explore and send other explorers traveling further. Although many disagree when the Spanish arrived in northern Utah, evidence and rock carvings suggest that it was in the 1600s, give or take a couple of decades. Southern Utah was where they found rich silver, but they stumbled on the Uinta Mountains in North Eastern Utah. The Uinta Mountains are a beautiful mountain range that stretches for many miles from East to West with elevations from 5900 feet to 13,000 feet in elevation.

During the time of exploration, the Spanish started communicating with the local Indians and learned of the riches and history of ancient cultures that once ruled the area. Like many powerful civilizations, precious minerals were used for the trading and growth of a nation. The Spanish learned all they needed to hear, and they started a vast search for gold and silver. The Spanish did find several rich gold and silver veins and even ancient mines that were not played out. There are even accounts and old Spanish documents that tell of ancient structures and fortresses that they found along the way.

In no time at all, the Spanish kidnapped local Indians to work as mining slaves and started doing what they have done to so many before these Utah Indians, conquer and build their empire. Spanish missions started to construct in the Uinta Mountains along with Spanish-rich gold and silver mines that were in production. More Spanish conquistadors arrived with mules, horses, weapons, and more. This went on for many years. Some think that the Spanish were in Utah until the late 1800s to the early 1900s. Many battles were fought between the Spanish and Indians. Essentially with the Ute Indians. The Ute Indian tribe was the powerful Indian tribe in the area at the time and the Spanish had a fight coming that they didn’t foresee.

Sometimes the Indians won. Sometimes they didn’t. The Spanish were usually in small groups with many slaves. Even though they had swords, horses, and armor, the Indians had hate for the Spanish in their hearts. Their people were treated like garbage and the Indians could not sit back and watch. They had a war skill and were proven fighters in large numbers. Many Indians grew tired of the Spanish.

At the same time, the Spanish were not done mining their gold and silver. At this point you can imagine what happened for possibly over 150 years, fighting back and forth.

LOST SPANISH MINES AND BURIED TREASURES

THE LOST RHOADES MINES CHAPTER 2

Now that you know a little more about the Spanish, you can see how the legends talk about lost mines and treasures. Throughout all these years, the Indians did win battles. Some battles took place at Spanish mine sites. The Spanish were so concerned about their gold and silver, they let their greed get to them. Even though stories of angry-killing Indians were spreading throughout the land, the Spanish kept on mining. Because the Spanish were so spread out in the Uinta Mountains, it was easier for the Indians to wipe out a whole group of Spanish. Lots of times, when the Indians had a victory, they would bury the Spanish bodies, their horses, and all their belongings in the ground. Including gold and silver.

They would also cover up the mine entrances and toss away and the signs of the Spanish ever being there. The Indians did not want gold and silver. They called it “White Man’s Disease.” Sometimes the battles would go on long enough that the Spanish had enough time to have a couple of them take their riches and stash it away in caves, bury it in a safe place, and/or try to carry it with mules as far as they could. Now, if I told you that some believe that the Spanish had several church missions and over 110 Spanish mines in the Uinta Mountains, you can see how there is a legend of so many lost Spanish mines and treasures.

This is also where some of the Spanish tree and rock carvings came from. The Spanish marked where their mines and treasures were so they could come back for them. Keep in mind as well that many died from travel, massacres, and health. The Uinta Mountains get several feet of snow every winter so the chances of the Spanish having to leave their mines and riches were high every year. In fact, a person only has about 4 months of no snow in the Uintas every year.

Here’s another thing to consider. Gold and Silver bars and ore are very heavy. Even a mule can only carry so much gold and silver. Sometimes the Spanish would store their gold and silver in the mines for safekeeping. After years and fighting with the Indians, they learned that a mule train of many caused attention while traveling south for Mexico City. There are many legends of the Spanish finding extraordinarily rich minerals but had no way of escaping undetected by the Indians safely with their riches. So once again, buried treasures were created and marked by Spanish maps, rock monuments, tree symbols, and other treasure clues left behind in hopes of one day to return for their riches. Many never made it back. Mexico City is still holding on to old documents and treasure maps that point the way to millions of dollars, if not, billions of dollars worth of old Spanish riches, lost mines, and treasure clues pointing the way that is weathering with time.

Many of the treasures and mine clues are gone today. Man and time have destroyed clues and evidence and that’s where I come in. My name is Timothy C. Draper and I search for clues and evidence to lost history, treasures, and mines. Please do not destroy tree symbols, rock monuments, and other man-made objects and structures in the wilderness.

Brigham Young & the Lost Rhoades Mines

MORMONS STARTED SETTLING IN THE GREAT SALT LAKE OF UTAH

THE LOST RHOADES MINES CHAPTER 3

In the middle 1800s, the Mormons, also known as LDS and/or Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints started to settle and build their new homes in the promised land. This area today is called the Great Salt Lake City in Utah. It was said that the Morons found their promised land from god and they wasted no time building their empire, just like the Spanish before them. Homes, buildings, and temples were built. The Mormon Church started to rise and there was one thing that the Mormons needed to succeed, money.

While the followers and church members were building their new lives in Utah, the Mormon Church leader was smart and knew that they could not move forward without capital, like many religions. Many church members were tending church and living their lives while some were on the look for a source of money. The Mormon church leader named Brigham Young enlisted a man named Thomas Rhoades to mine for the church. Thomas Rhoades and many others headed for California due to the big gold rush that was so famous at the time.

For many years, Thomas Rhoades mined in California and learned a lot and when he returned to Salt Lake City, Brigham Young had a secret task for Thomas. A task that was right up his alley to utilize his skills and minerals knowledge. Thomas was said to be a fair man and was good at communicating with the local Indians. The Indian tribe trusted Thomas Rhoads with many secrets. In fact, the chef of one Indian Tribe became a Mormon by baptism and that’s where the Mormon religion changed forever.

Thomas started to learn about the stories of the men of armor that enslaved the Indian people and the riches that were mined. After some time, the chef told Thomas that he would take him to a few old rich gold mines. The terms were that Thomas Rhoades could never show anyone else. The chef knew that Thomas would give the gold to the Mormon church and that’s why the chef agreed to it. For many years Thomas Rhoades removed gold and silver ore from the lost mines and the church was growing in strength and numbers. This went on for so long that Thomas was on his deathbed and entrusted the mine locations to his son Caleb Rhoades. Caleb was also known as a good man and continued to recover gold and silver for the Mormon church.

This is where the Mormon gold coin came from, Spanish Gold lost in the Uinta Mountains. The Indians, Thomas, and Caleb were said to be the only ones that knew of the locations. In the modern-day, the Indian Tribes keep the secrets and after hundreds of years, lost mines, gold, silver, and treasures still are hidden and lost. This is how the legends are still alive today and why so many people in Utah have taken the hobby of modern-day treasure hunting. Some riches and mines have been found but according to Indians today, the White people will never find it all.

MODERN DAY TREASURE HUNTING IN UINTA MOUNTAINS OF UTAH

THE LOST RHOADES MINES CHAPTER 4

Stories and legends have been passed down from generation to generation. The chance of finding a rich mine and/or treasure in Utah is now a cultural norm. Many people have bought supplies, metal detectors, and headed out in the Uinta Mountains for a chance to find something rich. To my surprise in the last 24 years of treasure hunting in Utah, there are many people that have taken the stories and turned it into evidence. There have been some good tales of people finding, buying, and trading old Spanish maps and documents in Utah.

Maps and documents that show the way to billions in value. Some do it as a hobby and some do it as a way of life. I have heard of many accounts of Spanish swords, armor, coins, and more that have been found in Utah. There have even been reports of Spanish cannons found in the Uinta Mountains. Gold bars and silver bars have been found. Some have helped with keeping the stories and evidence alive while others have destroyed it.

Some places in the Uintas still have real Spanish tree symbols. These are clues that literally point to a way for hunters that know how to read them. Some say that these carvings end up in business and homes after being sprayed with lacquer to preserve it. Some have destroyed structures like Spanish smelters, Spanish arrastras, rock monuments and more thinking that the treasure is buried below it. This is awfully bad for a researcher like me. Every time something is destroyed, the chances of finding the lost history, mines, and treasures become harder and harder.

I feel that if Utah officials would work more closely with the people hunting for these old riches, more evidence would be present to prove these great legends and stories. At this point, I don’t think things will change and the hunting and denial of both sides will most likely continue. I have been shown old mines that fit the description of old Spanish techniques and methods of digging mines.

I have seen incredibly old symbols carved in rock and some old symbols carved in trees. I have found old smelters and arrastras in the wildness. Most of them are so old that they are concealed by vegetation growing around them, weathering away. Many authors have written books on the lost treasures and mines in Utah. And still today, I know that many people head for the hills in the summertime to see if they can try their luck. Still, many state officials deny the evidence of the Spanish ever coming to Utah but, they watch modern-day treasure hunters very closely.

The treasure hunting and metal detecting world is growing amazingly fast, and many enjoy the past time of telling stories and wandering in the beautiful mountains. It is actually a great way to spend your weekends and the adventure is very worth it.

I will write more about the Lost Rhoades Mines and old Spanish legends in more detail, broken down into different stories. Now that you know more about the Lost Rhoades Mines and Spanish history in Utah, do yourself a favor and buy some books. Read during your off time and start your adventure in not only learning new history and chasing after treasures but finding a great adventure.

The Lost River of Gold – Kokoweef Peak

Here’s a great mystery that some may be able to solve. It’ll take some scouting but the payoff will be huge! Not to mention the adventure that comes with this story. Let’s see if you can solve it.

California is known for its gold and who doesn’t like a treasure to search for? What if I told you that this treasure is not a sunken ship or a treasure chest buried in the ground? No jewels or artifacts to be found. Only a dark cave would amaze National Geographic. The cave was found by two men that followed it 8 miles down into the earth and reached depths of 5,400’ feet deep.

This story is about a river that flows deep in the ground that is baring more gold than I have ever heard of in one place. The river has a tide, similar to the ocean. During the day, the tide recedes and exposes black sand and gold.

E.P. DORR’S SWORN STATEMENT & EXPEDITION INTO THE UNKNOWN CAVE

The Lost River of Gold – Kokoweef Peak

The following is a sworn affidavit from E.P. Dorr. What you are about to read should get you excited and if it doesn’t, perhaps you are not an adventurer nor treasure hunter at heart.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

This is to certify that there is located in San Bernardino County, California, about two hundred and fifty miles from Los Angeles, a certain cave. Traveling over state highways by automobile, the cave is reached in about ten hours.

A Civil Engineer, Mr. Morton, and I spent four days exploring the cave for more than eight miles. We carried with us Altimeters, Pedometers, and a Theodolite, with which to observe and record actual directions, take elevations, and measurements by triangulation.

Our exploration revealed the following facts:

  1. From the mouth of the cave we encountered a canyon, which from the Altimeters and by calculations we found to be from 3000 to 3500 feet deeper; making a total depth of 5400 feet from the mouth where we entered the caves to the floor of the canyon.
  2. We found the cave divided into many caverns or chambers, of various sizes, all filled and embellished with Stalactites that make these caves one of the wonders of the world.
  3. The largest chamber we explored is about 300 ft. wide, 400 feet long and from 50 to 110 feet high. It is encrusted with crystals, fashioned into festoons of innumerable Stalactites, that hang from the ceiling, some of which are extremely large. One, the largest seen, is 27 feet in diameter and hangs 1,510 feet down into a 3000 ft. canyon. This great Stalactite is perpetually washed by water flowing down over it and falling into the dark canyon depths. The huge glistening white crystal is 500 feet longer than the Eiffel Tower, and challenged us with amazement and wonder.
  4. There is a flowing river on the floor of the canyon, which rises and falls with tidal regularity. All measurements and estimates of the river, including its tides and beach sands were reckoned by triangulation, taken with the Theodolit, and while we did not reach the river, nevertheless, taking observations with our Theodolite and its telescope, we reckoned the river to be about 300 feet wide at the high tide and 10 feet wide at low tide. It rises and falls 7 ½ to 8 feet. The Peysert brothers confirm our reckoning.
  5. When the tide is out, there is exposed on both sides of the river 100 to 150 feet of black sand, which the Peysert brothers reported is very high in placer gold. They reported the sands on the river shore to be from 4 to 11 feet deep, and on the average about 8 feet deep.
  6. There are numerous ledges above the canyon that are from 10 to 40 feet wide and covered with sand. We personally explored the ledge sands for a distance of more than eight miles, finding little variation in the depths and width of these ledge sands. And wherever examined, the ledge sands are found to be fabulously rich in placer gold.
  7. I have known intimately Oliver, Buck and George Peysert from my boyhood.  these caves with them repeatedly and thoroughly. They have reported to me in detail, their experience in exploring caves. One of them, George, lost his life in the cave. Buck and Oliver say George was killed by diving in the river on the floor of the canyon. He struck an unseen rock, which killed him instantly. They have reported to me repeatedly their mining experiences and saay they mined on the beach sands of the river a total in all six weeks. They carried lumber down to the river and constructed a sluice box and, using a pump, the three mined for six weeks, during which time they recovered more than $57,000 in gol, (gold at $20.00 per ounce); they sent their gold directly to the U.S. Mint and banked the returns in a bank in Needles, California, and another bank in Las Vegas, Nevada. I last talked to them in my home about November 10th, 1934, at which time they repeated their former statements, giving information as to how they discovered the river, and more of their experiences in mining. They recovered several of the largest nuggets of gold ever found in California. Both Mr. Morton and myself filled our pockets with the sands from the ledges, carried it out and had it assayed. Just what Mr. Morton’s sand assayed, I do not know, but it was approximately $2000.00 per ton. I carried out ten pounds and two ounces of the ledge sand, and panned seven pounds, recovering more than $7.00 in gold, with gold at $20.00 and ounce.  I sold the gold for $18.00 per ounce. The balance of my ten pounds of sand I sent to John Herman, a Los Angeles Assayer. His assay certificate shows a value of $2,144.47 per yard gold at $20.67 per ounce.

I, E.P. Dorr, residing at 390 Adena Street, Pasadena, California, make the foregoing statement for the purpose of including investors to invest in the work of mining the gold in these caves, and I solemnly swear that all the statements made herein above are true and that all persons will find the physical conditions in the cave as above stated.

SUBSCRIBED and sworn to on this 10th day of December 1934.

Signed E. P. Dorr

EVIDENCE THAT REVEALS MORE OF THE CAVE OF GOLD

In May of 1927 is when E.P. Dorr was accompanied by the mining engineer and they discovered the cave entrances. They spent a total of four days exploring the cave and followed it between 8-9 miles. At this time, I have found reports from Dorr that he mentioned several entrances to the cave in the area. Here are some draw-outs of what they reported from their journey into the darkness.

WHERE IS THIS CAVE OF GOLD LOCATED?

Here’s where your expedition begins. Where to start looking? The Lost River of Gold – Kokoweef Peak.

Kokoweef Peak in the Mojave Desert of California, very close to the Nevada and California border. There’s another peak just to the South called Dorr Peak. Remember that peak because I’m going to explain more on that later in this article to give you a starting point.

The Lost River of Gold - Kokoweef Peak

MORE TO THE RIVER OF GOLD IN THE MOJAVE DESERT

There’s always more to a story when you do your research correctly. I’m going to pass this information on to you so you can better understand. This part of the story starts in the early 1990s.

Five years ago, an associate of mine sent me a few emails that contained information on this legend. Some of it might seem odd to some of you but some readers will understand if they have a history in researching old stories. I will not include the emails or names of the people involved but you will still understand.

In these emails, I discovered that a couple of men that called themselves mining engineers arrived at a prospecting store in Las Vegas. They ordered a few mining supplies and were on their way. About a week later, those same two men showed up at the prospecting store again to order a lot more mining and prospecting supplies.

The owner of the store was a little amazed at the type of equipment the two men ordered and told them they will have to wait for the items to show up in about a week. Here’s where the story caught my attention for obvious reasons.

The two men went on to tell the man that they were hired by a mining company to find new prospects of an underground river bearing gold. They then told the store owner that they believe they found it and that they also found a lot of gold and that’s how they can afford the new gear they were ordering. The two men went on to tell the story of how they found the river of gold.

When they arrived at the site they believed could be, The Lost River of Gold, they discovered that several of the cave entrances were either collapsed and/or concealed. This caused a problem for them to enter the famous cave system. They spent a few days exploring the nearby area and stumbled upon a local Indian that knew of the story. The Indian told of his Tribal story of how the early Spanish were in this same area, looking for gold, and that the area was mined by the Spanish for many years. High amounts of the gold were removed by the Spanish and relocated to Mexico where the gold sailed to Spain.

The Indian also knew of Dorr’s expedition into the cave entrances. The Indian agreed to help the two men because he explained that there were more entrances to this cave system that only his people knew about. Earlier in this article, I said to remember Dorr Peak because my research shows that the Indian took the two men to that peak to find the secret entrance. That’s where they found the cave system and started mining for gold.

After they explained this story to the store owner, they left saying that they will return to the cave system and come back in a week or two. The two men never return for their purchased mining equipment. The store owner held onto the equipment for a very long time but there was never any sign of the two mining engineers.

The Lost River of Gold - Kokoweef Peak

MODERN DAY DEVELOPMENT OF THE LOST RIVER OF GOLD

At the present time, a mining group has claimed the land around the Kokoweef Peak area and at some point, was giving tours and I believe they are still looking for the tunnels leading to the canyon that Dorr mentions in his sworn statement found above. I would be very cautious going around any private land and/or mining claims. Most owners do not like it. You have been warned by me.

That being said, I have an alternative for you. If you want to go look and try your luck at finding the Lost River of Gold, please pay careful attention to the information below.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE MISSING MEN?

Later that year there was a missing person police file of the two men but they were never found. In 2019, a producer started working with me on this story. We were considering filming a TV show around this story. With the help of the producers, we found that the two men mysteriously disappeared for a very long time and then reappeared in a different state, with no mention of where they went, what happened to the cave they found, and what their story was. These two are not living their lives in the United States and I tried to reach out to them in 2019 but they will not respond to me.

WHERE TO START LOOKING FOR A CAVE ENTRANCE THAT WILL LEAD YOU TO THE GOLD

I feel very strongly that there are many entrances to this underground river. In fact, I believe that this cave stretches for hundreds if not, thousands of miles. I have been researching the Mojave desert and found that this area is famous for aquifers. I also agree with some that the cave entrances are not man-made except for the modern-day entrances that are now filled in around Kokoweef Peak.

The cave entrances are similar to a natural blow-hole. That means this underground river has been flowing for thousands of years and naturally, the moisture and humidity have to be released and travel to the ground’s surface, creating after time, natural-looking cave entrances. I also believe that Dorr’s affidavit also is holding a clue when he mentions the tide. I found that this Lost River of Gold could be connected to a massive underground river that flows somewhere in Southern Idaho and flows south to the Sea of Cortez. I’m not going to reveal everything because I believe that the reader should do some research of their own. I’m just trying to give you the tools and direction on where to start.

I think that the prospector’s story holds a clue to an unknown entrance by Dorr Peak, just south of Kokoweef Peak. I have included maps, drawings, and articles in this blog because I believe a motivated person or group can still find the Lost River of Gold.

I have known about this story and I have been saving it for my team, Treasures in America but I have so many stories, there’s no way my team can research all of them in our lifetime. So I pass this one on to you, hoping that if you go searching for it, you can report for discoveries back to me.

Treasure Map and Location

HOW I WOULD START THIS TREASURE HUNT

If it was me, I would take a group of guys with different talents and abilities relevant to outdoor activities. In fact, I will list some talents below that are needed.

I would take these types of people with me. For example, please visit my team’s page of treasure hunters to understand better.

  • Two experienced climbers are known for exploring caves with all the modern-day climbing gear.
  • One drone pilot has experience with flowing low to the ground and around mountain peaks and canyons.
  • One – two metal detectorists that have many years of experience searching for artifacts and gold. They should have semi-professional metal detectors that look for small and big gold deposits and relics from the past.
  •  A safety manager that understands the danger and is responsible for the whole team. Someone also trained with first-aid.
  • A researcher has spent a considerable amount of hours researching all there is to know about this story, its history, and location.

HERE ARE SOME MORE THINGS TO CONSIDER FOR THIS EXPEDITION

  • Have ORV’s (off-road vehicles) with good tires and four-wheel drive. There’s a lot to see and scout and I have been in very rough places and I know that it’s very dangerous to venture outdoors without a good reliable vehicle.
  • Bring a spotting scope and binoculars with you so you can see from a distance. You are looking for a natural cave hole in the rock, most likely in an outcropping.
  • Bring a G.P.S. system with updated software to pinpoint your findings.
  • If available, a GPR would be nice, if you find flat ground but from Google Earth, that may prove to be a hard task.

I would plan on a weekend trip and either find a good spot to camp near the peak or stay in a hotel at Primm Nevada. Stay off private land and mining claims. Remember, you should plan your first trip as a scouting trip. That way you can get familiar with the landscape and have a better understanding of what will be needed in the future to continue your journey.

Real treasure hunting takes time, patients, and a little luck. Plan your budget accordingly because this will take money to be successful. Safety is key. The Lost River of Gold – Kokoweef Peak

For more information please reach out to me and I would be glad to help you out more. Read my other blogs to see more treasure stories in America. We are here to assist you and provide you with the best and most useful treasure hunting gear.

NOKTA ANFIBIO MULTI REVIEW AND FIELD TEST

The Nokta Anfibio Multi metal detector might just be Nokta | Makro’s best selling metal detector on their list. I own the Nokta Anfibio Multi and I have learned to really like the way it functions and its performance.

I have used this detector in areas like ghost towns and trashy areas and I think it does very well with searching for targets where other detectors get overloaded. We took the Nokta Anfibio Multi, along with many other brands of detectors to a ghost town in Utah called Frisco. We ended up in one of the trashiest areas that I’ve ever metal detected. Within minutes I noticed that the other detectors were beeping almost out of control and the display screen couldn’t tell us a good reading but not the Nokta Anfibio Multi. It remained strong and continued to give us good readings and targets.

This area had so many artifacts that a few of my friends like Truboy, was picking up old spoons, bearings, forks, and much more off the ground, using his own two eyes. The rest of the team was struggling with the consent beeping and screen readings all over the place. Some of us were new to metal detecting while a couple of us were veterans when it comes to using metal detectors to find artifacts.

I would have to say that the top two winners that found more artifacts that day were the Nokta Anfibio Multi and Truboy. This was the situation where I determined that the Nokta Anfibio Multi was a great metal detector to hunt for artifacts in a high trash area.

MY OPINION OF THE NOKTA ANFIBIO MULTI AFTER THE FIELD TEST

The biggest thing that excited me about the Nokta Anfibio Multi was its ability to hunt in a very trashy area. I think that is an excessively big deal and something for all detectorists to consider when you look at the Anfibio Multi. But that wasn’t all the highlights of this metal detector. I really liked the function to have the detector vibrate and beep when it finds a target and the option to turn the vibration off/on and/or have the detector beep instead of vibrating or due all the above.

I have hearing problems and the only way to help that is to have headphones or rely on the vibration to alert me as I’m hunting. Another thing was the display screen. I felt like it was a good-sized screen so I can see what is happening while I’m metal detecting. The last thing I wanted to brush on was the menu screen and functions for the user. I have heard people say that the functions are different and sometimes confusing compared to other metal detector brands, but I found a solution to that, read the manual, watch some YouTube videos.

The Nokta Anfibio Multi is a little different to get used to and I noticed that with minutes of turning it on. That’s when I remember Nokta suggesting that I read the owner’s manual. I took it a step further and I watched a few short videos on how to use it. That made a world of difference when I went out into the field with it for the first time. I suggest you do the same. Now, let’s get to some of the helpful information so you as the reader can decide if the Nokta Anfibio Multi would be a good fit for you.
